Η θεατρική διασκευή του βιβλίου «Θέλω να γυρίσω σπίτι μου» συγκίνησε το κοινό με τη δραματική απεικόνιση της επιστροφής των Γλυπτών του Παρθενώνα. Η σκηνή πλημμύρισε από φως καθώς η Καρυάτιδα, ντυμένη στα λευκά, στάθηκε μαρμάρινη και ανέκφραστη. Ο Ζήσης πλησίασε, κρατώντας ένα κλαδί ελιάς, ένα δώρο από τις αδερφές της, γεμάτο ελπίδα. «Αυτό είναι για σένα», είπε και η Καρυάτιδα κοίταξε το κλαδί με δάκρυα στα μάτια. Τα παιδιά τραγούδησαν έναν ύμνο νοσταλγίας, ενώ οι Καρυάτιδες ενώθηκαν, σχηματίζοντας έναν κύκλο. «Θέλω να γυρίσω σπίτι μου», ψιθύρισε η Καρυάτιδα και η αυλαία έπεσε. Μπράβο στα παιδιά!
The school theatrical adaptation of “I Was born in Greece” moved the audience with its dramatic depiction of the return of the Parthenon Sculptures. The stage was flooded with light as the Caryatid, dressed in white, stood marble-like and expressionless. Zisis approached, holding an olive branch, a gift from her sisters, full of hope. “This is for you,” he said, and the Caryatid gazed at the branch with tears in her eyes. The children sang a nostalgic hymn, while the Caryatids united, forming a circle. “I was born in Greece” the Caryatid whispered, and the curtain fell. Bravo!!!
