Within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 European project entitled Multicultural Garden, the children’s story “I was born in Greece” published by Angelakis publications spread its wings and traveled to Celje, Slovenia, where it was lovingly offered as a gift to the kindergarten Zasebni vrtec Vesela hiša.
There, the children had the opportunity to discover the story of Zisis, who traveled with an olive branch from the garden of the Acropolis Museum to the British Museum—an olive branch, a symbol of peace, victory, and deep cultural heritage that unites peoples and eras.
This activity opened a beautiful dialogue between the two countries, bringing children closer to the values of multiculturalism, friendship, and the exchange of cultural experiences.
Warm congratulations to the outstanding kindergarten teacher Evi Dimou of the 2nd Kindergarten of Chania, as well as to all the contributors to the project, for the inspiration, creativity, and dedication they shared, turning the journey of this story into a true gift from the heart.
